How to use this guide?

You don’t have to read this site from cover to cover. I don’t write that well. Read what interests you: food, clothes, children etc, and otherwise look things up when necessary.

There are colour tables next to the text profiling products which give you a quick overview of local and imported products. I am using a traffic light system to distinguish

Red the product is imported,

Yellow some of the product/brand is made in South Africa but not all,

Green the product/brand is made in South Africa.

The green and yellow listed products are linked to their web presences, so that you can use their store locators/stockist listings.

The non-product sections offer useful information beyond products. Some have links to the information source. If you would like to have access to a particular source, contact us.
